Tasty Tuesday: Stars by Jimmy Choo Review

I for one, used to love the original Jimmy Choo. So bold, sensual, sweet, and feminine. Stars is definitely different, but you can tell that Jimmy Choo is behind the making of this perfume. In my opinion, Stars by Jimmy Choo is a more up to date, warm, winter scent when compared to the original. This is labeled as a chypre fragrance, though, I think it is more of a gourmand scent on my skin.

This is a sweet toffee scent, dipped in candied orange. It is not overly sweet and is quite smooth. It starts off with that sweet toffee scent and calms down into the sugary orange, reminiscent of orange sherbert. There are noticeable notes of patchouli in this fragrance, so if you aren't a fan of patchouli then you might not be drawn to this one. Though, I am a patchouli lover! Especially in this sweet concoction. Sandalwood lies in the base along with the patchouli, so you know this scent is well held together and is going to last! Very well done Jimmy, very well done.

Sampled it yet? Let me know what you think!

  1. I am a huge fan of the original Jimmy Choo as well, it's in my top 5! I feel that the "Stars" version is a more orange creamsicle version of the first, very sweet, lighter, less "heavy" and syrupy as the first, but the patchouli is still a good hit. Fantastic scent, but I prefer the original.

  2. I used to really love the original, but this new version is definitely growing on me. I think I may like it even more than the original now!
